Dive into d-Node's ecosystem and unlock comprehension of our data economy, where collaboration meets success.

Actors in d-Node's Ecosystem

dataProvider: A local impact project, be it an NGO, researchers or social companies, that leverages a tech-driven approach and has experience in data collection and processing. The dataProvider can benefit from dGrants to get funded for a specific data collection, and from our dataMarketplace to monetize an already existing dataset.

dataAngel: A socially engaged actor focused on the African continent who seeks to partially or fully fund data collection. The dataAngel is interested in dGrants for getting exclusive primary data and responsible investment opportunities that may generate royalties when used by other actors.

dataBuyer: A platform user seeking access to datasets on specific topics and targeted geographic areas. Access to top-notch datasets allows for strategic decision-making based on reliable data and enriches comprehensive research.

d-Node's Products

dRaise: dRaise enhances fundraising efforts by incorporating an open-source component that improves the success of project proposals through targeted donor outreach.

dGrants: dGrants connects data-generating activities with socially-conscious investors interested in impactful projects and valuable primary data. The platform also features a structured royalties system, ensuring ongoing value and returns from data-driven ventures.

data Generating Activity (dGA): Refers to activities funded by dGrants that create a valuable, exclusive dataset. This dataset is then available for sale on dMarketplace.

dataRoyalties: The ownership of the dataset funded by dGrants is shared between the dataProvider and the dataAngels. For 24 months following the dataset’s publication on dMarketplace, dataAngels receive royalties proportional to their funding whenever the dataset is purchased.

dataMarketplace: The data Marketplace offers data seekers access to rich datasets, facilitating insightful analysis and informed decision-making across various sectors in Africa. By monetizing dormant datasets with an open-source approach, we create new funding opportunities for data providers while benefiting the entire ecosystem.
