Reflections on d-Node’s participation in this summit alongside representatives from African central banks, governments, and fintech leaders - and how it shapes our vision moving forward.
Participating in the 3i Africa Summit was an opportunity to engage with leaders from African central banks, governments, and the fintech ecosystem on the future of innovation, investment, and impact. The discussions reinforced a core belief at d-Node: data is a key enabler of equitable growth, financial inclusion, and sustainable development.
From panels on responsible AI, data reuse, and financial access to side conversations with entrepreneurs and policymakers, one theme stood out - data gaps create systemic barriers. Whether in agriculture, financial services, or education, the lack of reliable and contextual data limits innovation and prevents solutions from reaching the people who need them most.
d-Node’s mission is to bridge these gaps by enabling ethical data exchange and funding models that empower local initiatives while ensuring that data remains a shared resource for the broader ecosystem.
This invitation to the 3i Africa Summit was an opportunity to scale our impact. With the momentum gained and the insights exchanged, we are now focused on:
- Expanding our data funding ecosystem to support key sectors in underserved regions ;
- Strengthening collaborations with financial institutions, startups, and policymakers to embed data-driven decision-making in impact projects ;
- Enhancing our platform to enable more organizations to share their data responsibly with safety.
